You’re feeling stuck. Personal growth feels impossible because past patterns are getting in the way. You want

to be free and find your joy and spirit again. The ways you’ve learned to cope when activated or triggered are not working for you anymore, and you want to develop and strengthen healthier patterns for yourself. The life you are living doesn’t feel authentic to your genuine self, and you’re ready for a change. You may also want to understand the messages you’ve received about yourself from the world around you and how they may impact you now.

With a foundation rooted in Relational Cultural Theory, I believe that our concerns and challenges often manifest within the context of our relationships. This includes but is not limited to, friendships, romantic partnerships, and familial bonds. By recognizing that relationships can also serve as sources of stress, I guide my clients in understanding and untangling these complex dynamics. I know that individuals may internalize blame and messages from various spaces. Throughout our sessions, I help clients identify and confront these internalized narratives. I prioritize empowerment, working collaboratively with clients in setting their therapeutic goals and choosing strategies for achieving them.  I use myself as a tool to understand better how clients relate to and communicate with others outside of the therapy room and voice my observations to encourage self-exploration. While doing so, I use a multicultural lens to recognize how multiple, intersecting aspects of clients’ identities influence their lives and the therapy process.

I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology and media & communications from Muhlenberg College. I received my PhD in counseling psychology from The University of Akron.  I have worked in college counseling centers, hospital settings, and an outpatient traumatic stress center, providing individual and family therapy for patients with concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to eating disorders and PTSD. I have received extensive supervision and training in providing therapy for individuals who have experienced interpersonal trauma. I enjoy working with various presenting concerns, including anxiety & depression, identity-related issues, LGBTQIA+ related issues, managing interpersonal difficulties, and processing trauma & exploring its impacts on current functioning.
